When location is used
- When a driver chooses to go available for nearby matching
- During an accepted job for pickup and trip visibility
- When a driver deliberately includes location in an incident report
- For investigation of a safety, fraud or service dispute
Who may see it
Relevant fleet-owner users, the assigned driver, and authorised JOR operations personnel may receive job-related location information according to role and operational need.
Driver controls
Device permission and in-app availability controls are separate. Drivers should be able to stop availability sharing when off duty, subject to preserving records already required for an active trip, dispute or legal obligation.
Safety use
Incident reports may include current coordinates. Location is supporting context, not a substitute for contacting emergency services. In India, emergency assistance can be reached through 112.
Accuracy and network limits
GPS and mobile networks can be delayed or inaccurate. JOR should display stale-location status and must not represent map positions as guaranteed real-time evidence.
